Many a car drive around the state of NJ would provoke conversation about the projects and buildings he worked on including Garden State Plaza, which he helped enclose. He also helped build the town of Secaucus by filling in marshland while protecting wildlife preserve. He owned his own construction company, Walthom Construction, with his partner Walt. Tom had an incredibly dry sense of humor, he loved to make everyone laugh. He had many talents including tinkering with and flipping cars, flipping houses during his retirement, golf, tennis, bowling, traveling, playing cards and flirting with the women. Along with his family, tennis and bowling were his greatest passions. He played tennis 3 days a week and bowled 2 nights a week. He bowled a perfect 300 game at the age of 79 on October 25, 2007, by far one of his happiest achievements. Tom had a zest for life. He enjoyed spending his time with family and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed every minute here on earth. Everyone who knew him loved and adored him. He will be missed by all.
