Charlotte V. St Angelo

May 12, 1926 - February 1, 2022

Charlotte V. St.Angelo, a resident of Suffern, NY for over 70 years, passed away on February 1, 2022 at her home. Born in Trenton, NJ on May 12, 1926 to Karl and Mabel (Rader) Seyler. A graduate of Hamilton High School, Trenton, NJ in 1943. Charlotte then was recruited by the U.S. Nurse Corps and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1948 from Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY. Following graduation she held various positions including Pediatric Instructor at Albany Medical Center; a civilian nurse at Tilton General Hospital, Fort Dix, NJ and worked for the American Red Cross during the polio epidemic of 1948. She held several different positions, including recovery room nurse, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY until retirement. Charlotte is predeceased by Fred J. St.Angelo, loving husband of 63 years and brother, Rader James Seyler. She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children: Donna L. (St.Angelo) Borges of Cumberland, RI, J.B. St.Angelo (Terry) of Elizabethtown, PA and Peter K. St.Angelo of Lake Hiawatha, NJ. 6 grandchildren: James (wife Melissa), Kyle ( wife Alicia), Patrick (partner A.J.), Tara (husband Michael), Erin (fiancée Mallory), Eric. 2 great grandchildren: Mabel Ann and Dillon. 2 nephews: Daniel Seyler and David Seyler (partner Paul). Charlotte was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Airmont, NY, the Suffern Women’s Club, Montebello Seniors and The Red Hatters. Every Friday night for 43 years, she met with the Pizza Group and enjoyed the company of many Ramapo Central School District friends. She also loved playing Bridge with several different groups. She found great happiness in her family and in the beauty of nature. She was an avid gardener, had many colorful flowers and birds in her backyard. Her home was always beautifully decorated for every holiday and special occasion. Family and friends always looked forward to her delicious Christmas cookies. Her smile and kindness will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 12:30 to 3 p.m., with a service immediately following at Edwards Funeral Chapel, Inc. 160 Orange Ave, Suffern, NY. Burial will take place on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Airmont Cemetery, Airmont NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) World Hunger P.O. Box 1809 Merrifield, VA 22116-8009 or your favorite charity
